One day, I suggested to my dad that we smuggle a pineapple across the California border. He didn't seem interested, but the next morning we headed out.

This was the ideal pineapple.

We made it to California.
 A glorious achievement.
 And then we headed back.
It was satisfactory.

These are photos of my dad in different light conditions.
In the photo above my dad's face is lit below with a lamp.

Shorter exposure length creates a darker environment and makes the lighting more effective.
 E.T.

Short exposure, no artificial lighting.
Longer exposure, natural light.
A white sky on a winter morning.

Freezing on my front porch, I snapped a few photos of the hazy atmosphere that had crept into my neighborhood while I was sleeping.

My brother's car, a few days before he drove back to Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo.
